Pop Art is an art movement which started in the 1950's, that is inspired by simple, POPular items of everyday life, like food and drinks, product packaging, movies, music, comics, advertising and even famous people. Meet the artist - Yayoi Kusama

Yayoi Kusama inspired art project for 3+ year olds I absolutely LOVE Yayoi Kusama's work and find her art super  whimsical and  inspiring. She has been making the world so much  more fun by putting polka dots on pretty much everything, from paintings, to sculptures, to clothing and even animals... and has devoted her entire life to art! Here is a simple yet fun project that can be slightly adjusted to fit the skills of 3, 4, or 5 year olds, and even school age children. Welcome! Welcome to Great Tiny Artists, a space where children, art and creativity meet. Exposure to visual arts from a young age is a powerful tool for a healthy social, emotional and cognitive development. As kids observe and explore different art works, they come in contact with a multitude of ideas, perspectives and subjects, which helps them with developing critical thinking skills (like imagination, communication and empathy), but also boosts creativity and teaches them alternative ways of thinking. They learn how to better observe, analyze, interpret, reflect and inquire about what’s around them, and about what they see and feel. And in turn, about how other people see and feel the world too, and how they express themselves and their ideas. Here you will find simple, process oriented art projects for little kids, that are created around a specific artist, art movement or work. Children are introduced to the theme and then develop their own creations around what they have learn...
